Gionee M6 Now In Nigeria — See Full Specs and Price




In July, Gionee announced the launch of it's new flagship devices — Gionee M6 and M6 Plus. Two months later, both devices were launched in China.
Gradually, they rolled out it's launch to the international market, India being the first to get a treat to what Gionee had to offer in it's flagship device.
Africans were anxiously waiting for the launch of the devices into the African market — Nigerians, being the largest smartphone users in Africa were the fore-runners.
Well, the long wait is finally over, Nigerians can now feel the prowess of the "beast". Unfortunately, The bigger brother — Gionee M6 is not available yet.

Gionee M6 sports a metal alloy unibody, a 5.5-inch AMOLED display  with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density). The display is super-bright with good viewing angles. The edges are slightly curved to fit perfectly into the hands without any hassle.

Just like most MTK devices, the Gionee M6 has dual sim function with 4G LTE support for super fast browsing, downloads and uploads. On the back of the phone is a powerful 13MP camera with SONY IMX 258 sensor. There's a dual LED flash sited slightly below the camera and of course — the smiling Gionee logo. The camera is capable of recording HD videos of 1080p@30fps.


Above the screen is an 8MP front camera, call speaker and sensor. Below the screen are two capacitive buttons and a physical home button embedded with a finger print sensor.



Gionee M6 is powered by a Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10, Octa-core (4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.0 GHz Cortex-A53), Mali-T860MP2 GPU, 4GB of RAM and a 64GB internal storage that can  be expanded to a whooping 256GB with a SD card. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmellow)with Amigo OS v3.2 on top.


Gionee M6 is CDLA audio compatible for loud and clear sound output. There are no distortions in sound output no matter the increase in level. The speakers are located at the bottom of the phone with a USB Type-C for charging and data transfer.



And now to the most intriguing aspect of the Gionee M6, which earned it the nickname "The Beast".
